[edit] Renaming accounts
A large number of the user accounts in this wiki have been created by spammers (people who try to add links to wiki pages to advertise websites). If you find out that your preferred user name has been taken, there is a high chance that it can be safely freed. You just need to ask a wiki bureaucrat to rename the target account and/or your account.
